• Spanish Dual Language Students Need a Color Printer!

  I would like to thank you on behalf of my students for your support. The printer that was purchased with your donation has made a huge impact in my class. I am able to print worksheets, projects, and student work in color.

  This school year, I am teaching a dual language self-contained class. This means that I am responsible for teaching 50% of the day in English and 50% in Spanish. I use the printer to differentiate between the two languages. I color code the languages. I use green for Spanish and blue for English. The color coding supports my language learners acquire the language.

  With the TeachersPayTeachers Gift card, I am able to purchased many activities to supplement my curriculum. These activities are engaging and help my students embrace their creative side.

  I recently purchased an activity on TPT were students use Martin Luther's King's "I Have a Dream" speech to learn about figurative language. After analyzing the speech, they will write their own "I Have a Dream Poem."

• Let's Keep It Clean and Tidy!

  I want to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting my students. Your generous donation provided the funding for our class vacuum. We now have a tidy and vacuumed area rug!

  My students use the area rug daily and it gives me peace of mind knowing that they are working on a clean and safe environment. My students also enjoy doing math, reading, and partner work on our clean rug. Thanks to your support, we no longer have to wait for our scheduled vacuum day to have a clean rug. I can't even described the amazing feeling of walking into my classroom every morning and seeing a clean and healthy room.

• Building Literacy Skills Through Holiday Books

  I can not express how grateful we are for your support. Your generous donation brought joy to 48 Dual-Language Students. Students really enjoyed reading the holiday books that were purchased. In December, we read The Polar Express and used the book to compare and contrast, to discuss theme, and for fun art projects. A lot of my students had never read The Polar Express, I am glad they were exposed to a classic holiday book.

  My students also had a lot of fun reading, Zombies Don't Eat Veggies. This story was funny and engaging. My students could not stop reading this book.

• School Supplies Bring Smiles

  I can not express how grateful my students and I are for funding our project. My students were so happy when they received their materials. Each student was able to receive their own pencil box full of school supplies.

  The donated pencil boxes help my students keep all their supplies organized and neat. My students are also becoming better readers now that they have highlighters and are able to annotate their text. In addition, they are creating beautiful art pieces with the smelly markers. They love using the smelly markers!!!

• Learning from a Distance

  Words can not explain how grateful I am for your generosity. The materials that were purchased with your donation helped me and my students during distance learning. Your donation has made distance learning less challenging and more manageable. I constantly use the ink to print materials for my lessons. I do not have to leave the safety of my home to use the printer at school. So thank you for that! I also use the projector to deliver effective lessons and to model instruction during Zoom meetings. Once again, thank you very much for your support during these challenging times.”

  I would like to once again thank you for the generous donations that helped fund this project. The materials you helped provide have been very useful in our virtual classroom. I am able to use the white board to model lessons and provide effective instruction even from a distance.

  Distance learning has been a challenge for students, families, and teachers, but having resources such as the white board and markers have made it easier.
