Its no secret that middle school students fidget. A lot. Allowing them to have a choice in their environment gives them the motivation to do their best. Students learn best when they are comfortable in a setting that they want to spend time in. This project will enable middle school students to choose the level of seating arrangements while engaging in cooperative learning activities with their peers. The materials that are requested include low seating, dynamic middle level seating, and a series of standing or tall stools which students will cycle through during the year. These include ball chairs and a carpet. This will allow students who need constant movement to concentrate on their work, while being fully comfortable in their environment.
