Students will be engaging in articles on current events, geography, American History, and world civilizations. With getting 15 biweekly issues they will be focusing on those 4 crucial social studies areas along with using reading strategies-standards and comprehension. Several resources come with it including-primary sources, critical think questions, graphs, timelines, posters, and online access for remote learning. Students can access this in and out of the classroom which will make it easy to use. I have had great success with JS in the past years. Students enjoy learning about what is happening all over the world and all the perspectives. It gives them a break from the "textbook" and makes reading exciting!
