This will be the first opportunity for many of our students to work with robotics. The set of 18 Ozobots will introduce kids to coding basics and increase their skills with exposure to more advanced programming techniques. Exposure to robots at this level will help prepare them for technology courses at the secondary level. It seems that students nowadays need something to motivate them to get excited about school. This may spark an interest in school, especially for kids who would rather stay home playing video games than learning the classics. Besides using these resources to enhance my science and technology classes, they will be used in enrichment classes focused on computer coding, which is open to all of our students, grades 4 - 5. Truly, the investment in these Ozobots will improve learning at my school, as students make connections with science and technology in a practical, hands-on manner.
