  • Liven Up Mrs. B.'s Classroom Library and Science Lab!

    Funded Sep 24, 2016

My students have thoroughly enjoyed the new addition to our classroom library! They really like the animal books as it was something we had never had in class before. I have also been able to spark the scientific fire in some students thanks to the new Eyewitness books! The students were thrilled to receive our new supplies and they take great care in the new books because they are so appreciative.

I am looking forward to adding more eyewitness books to our library in the future. The eyewitness book titled "science" has been class favorite as I am the 4th grade science teacher. Thank you all so much for your generosity! We all really appreciate it”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bartoli

  • Sharpening Up One Pencil at a Time

    Funded Oct 1, 2016

The pencil sharpener has been a great help in our classroom! The students have put the new machines to great use and they have worked flawlessly!! The students have been impressed by the sharp pencils that these new machines provide! I am impressed with its ability to not jam, it is quiet and the students have treated it kindly and it is still working very well. I am enjoying the sheet protectors because i use them to put my daily lesson plans into a binder for further reference. I appreciate the organization it provides so I can work more efficiently during the day. These new additions have been a great help!”

  • Compound Microscopes for Science Labs!

    Funded Sep 29, 2016

Thank you so much for your generous donations! The students were very excited to receive our new microscopes. They will be using them in the upcoming unit regarding environments. We also received a box of slides that the students will observe under our new microscopes during the same unit.

When I opened the box of supplies many students clapped and smiled in appreciation of the new science tools. I am looking forward to diving into our new unit in a couple months! Thank you for your contribution, my students are all very excited to use the new materials.”

    With gratitude,

As a first year teacher I am looking to expand my classroom library with both fiction and non-fiction books. My goal is to update my current classroom library and infuse it with popular 4th grade book titles to attract readers of all levels and interests. The Who was/Who Is series is a popular non-fiction series amongst my class. Also, I serve as the 4th grade science teacher, and I find the Eyewitness books are a key component to enrich my science instruction. I also believe in a hands-on approach to teaching science; one of our most popular laboratory instruments in my class are the microscopes. Throughout the year we will be exploring both plants and animals, and the prepared slides displaying plants, their pollen, and a variety of bugs will be an excellent addition to my current science lessons.
