We use our sensory area every day! We love using different kinds of scissors to cut up paper to help with fine motor skills, experimenting with water to find capacities of containers, sort and graph different objects, and many other activities. Sensory play and discovery support cognitive growth, fine motor skills, problem-solving, and peer interaction. Hands-on learning is so important in kindergarten. Many of our English Language Learners are able to use sensory play to make friends, learn new vocabulary, and learn through play. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide in making our sensory table a great place to further the learning the takes place in our classroom.
