Having a classroom rug is very important in the primary grades. The rug will provide several benefits. Our rug will serve as an anchor for our class family meetings. Having the option to sit in a designated spot at times will help students who are learning about body spacing. The perimeter of the rug can allow different seating configurations to capitalize on group learning. The classroom will be a warm and cozy learning environment and a flexible space for students to lay down and fall in love with a good book. An inviting learning environment is essential for students success and morale. Our community will begin on our rug and end on the rug each day; it is the cornerstone of our classroom!
