Sharing Our Talents in Our Community
Funded Apr 9, 2025Thank you so much for your incredible donations. My students made a variety of little stuffed animals and mini monsters. The students also created stories to go with the stuffed animals that we then donated to the children at Ronald McDonald house.
When students are creating something to give to someone else, they work with purpose and caring. Since we received thank you notes from Ronald McDonald house, the students are learning the impact they have on others as well as their community as a whole.
These projects would not be possible without the donations that you have made to our classroom. Thank you again for caring.”

Make, Share and Care
Funded Aug 7, 2024We appreciate the felt and stuffing. We use these items to make puppets as well as mini monsters and Fear Me Nots. We donated the items to the children at Ronald McDonald house.
The markers are used when we're making our motivation word cards to be hung in our kitchen area on the refrigerators. These words help students remember what their goal is for the entire semester.
The wagon has been instrumental when I bring food from my car into the kitchen area. It is helped immensely with the transportation of items and saved multiple trips.
Thank you so much for supporting me, my classroom, and especially my students.”

Funded Nov 29, 2023Wow, thank you. It is great to have the toaster oven so the students can learn about using different appliances in the kitchen. The consumable items such as the plates and forks are so important for the students to be able to taste and share their food with others.
The shakers and the squeeze bottles will be used in order to work more efficiently in the classroom.
I love having the remote clicker since it allows me to be away from my desk and interacting with the students when we are going through different slide shows and presentations.
Thank you again for supporting my students, my classroom and our on-going needs.”

Funded Nov 21, 2023Thank you so much for supporting my students in their path to understanding finances and how money works. Your support means the world to us. I believe that with the resources my students will be better prepared for their futures as well as being members of our community.
Since I received both books and games we can work individually as well as participate in small group activities. The students can learn from one another and hopefully open the conversations about money with their parents.
Thank you for supporting my students, my classroom and my community.”

Organizing and Creating
Funded Aug 16, 2023My students are so excited to have the magnetic measuring spoons. It has made such a difference in our drawers and the organization. The students have already had so much success in using the materials and making play dough.
The shelf unit has helped us organize the classroom and the materials that we use on a daily basis. It is so surprising that we didn't have the shelf unit in the past. I was uncertain if I really needed the shelf unit and now that it is in the classroom, I can't imagine not having it.
Thank you so much for caring enough about my classroom and my students to make a donation.”

Funded Jul 13, 2023As we begin the school year, it is so exciting for the students to learn that they have the necessary materials to complete the projects successfully. My students are always surprised to learn how others care about them and their success in the classroom.
With the supplies that we have received, we will be able to complete projects that we can share with the community. It is important for students to learn the value of making items and donating them to others. Students are learning how to create, share and contribute to they world in which they live.
Thank you again.”

Containers for Kitchen Supplies
Funded Nov 26, 2022It is so nice to have containers to store our supplies in the 4 different kitchen areas. Orignally the students needed to see me to get the ingredients for the recipe and now they have the basic supplies in their own cabinet. It makes cooking and preparing items so much simplier as well as more realistic.
The students are excited to have the items in their own pantries and this has led to a pride in ownership and they seem to be working to take care of the items.
Dawn dish detergent is more expensive, but we need to use a lot less. The students had been using a quarter of a bottle of cheap liquid which was constantly being refilled and replaced. They now see first hand, that sometimes it may be worth spending a little more money if you don't have to use as much of the product. This is a big factor when comparison shopping.
Thank you again for supporting my students and my classroom.”

Sew Me a Puppet or Mini Monster
Funded Jan 1, 2023It such a wonderful feeling to know that the students have the materials that they need in order to not only make their mini monsters, but to also have a choice in the colors, buttons and color of thread that they are using.
The students were so excited to realize that they had choices in the color of felt and didn't just end-up with whatever was left for them to use.
Students are happy that they have the opportunity to make an additional mini-monster that they can give as a gift. It is so rewarding to see the students have success and also to have a desire to share their creations with others.
Thank you again for your generiosity.”

Prep Tables Lead to Success
Funded Nov 11, 2022Wow! Thank you so much. The tables were delivered before Thanksgiving break and the students were so excited to help assemble them.
We had the opportunity to use them while preparing waffles. The students were surprised at how much easier it was to work together and make the waffles. The students work in teams of 4 - 5 people so having a prep table really helps with the process. We have 4 kitchen groups working at the same time in the kitchens.
The students said that they didn't realize what a difference the height of the table would make in the process. Thank you again for supporting my students and my classroom.”

Funded Sep 6, 2022My students are excited to be in the kitchen and learning how to cook quick, easy and healthy dishes. Many of the students haven't had any experience cooking for themselves so this is an exciting opportunity.
Having the correct tools and supplies is so important to help with the success of cooking. Many of the students did not realize the importance of using measuring cups and spoons when making a dish, as they learned when they tasted a dish containing several tablespoons of pepper vs the 1/2 teaspoon stated int he recipe.
Thank you for believing in my students and giving them the opportunity to improve their skills.”
