On behalf of our fourth-grade classroom, I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donations of stools for small group instruction, books, and a cart for supplies. Ten Is the Magic Number!
Funded May 8, 2024Thank you for your kindness and generous donation for my students to practice and reinforce math skills. Your donation provided my students with tens frames to practice math skills in an efficient and fun way.
The students enjoyed representing numbers and subitizing on the boards. The students practiced composing and decomposing numbers in a variety of ways which is helping them develop number sense and understanding different visual representations of each number. I love seeing the students smile and being engaged during math class!”

Funded May 8, 2024Phoneme-grapheme mapping is an important skill to help children become skilled readers. When children map words, they take the spoken word and break it down into each sound to spell the word. The magnetic paddles and chips is a fun way for the children to practice exercises with phoneme-grapheme mapping.
The students enjoyed counting the phonemes in words by placing the number of magnetic chips into the paddle squares and building the word with magnetic letters that represent the sound in each box.
Thank you for your kindness and allowing the students to have an efficient and fun activity to practice this skill!”

Funded Aug 7, 2023Thank you so much for your donation. I appreciate your generosity and kindness to help the students in my classroom.
The students love the benches! We created an amazing reading area in our room with a rug, books, and the three benches.
The students love sitting on the benches and reading books together. I enjoy listening to the students share books and interact with one another as well.
Reading books together has inspired the students to want to read more.
Thank you for helping students grow their love for reading!”

Ready to Boogie?
Funded May 9, 2023The students loved the Boogie Boards! The Boogie Boards provided the students a different and exciting way to write and work out math problems. The Boogie Boards allowed the students to transition from one problem to the next with a push of a button!
The Boogie Boards saved time and kept the students on task because I didn't have to replace dry erase markers and dry erase erasers. Thank you for empowering my students and providing them a different way to write and learn! I look forward to incorporating them next year in my classroom as well!”

Funded Sep 1, 2021Thank you so much for donating toward a class set of Popits. My students were ecstatic over the Popits! We have been using the Popits in math to help with number sense. We used them to count by 2's, 5's, and 10's. We also used the Popits when working with odd and even numbers. We also use the Popits to find 10 more and 10 less. A few children are continuing to use the Popits as a 100's chart.
We have also incorporated the Popits into reading as well. We pop a bubble for every sound we hear in a word. This has helped the children break down the sounds they hear in words in reading and writing.
I look forward to finding new ways to use them!”
