These items will make a difference in my students' learning because they will be able to increase their listening skills and speech articulation because they will be better able to hear the sounds more clearly through voice amplification. I have many English Language Learners in my classroom. Research has shown that English Language Learners' academic performance increases when they can better hear sound articulation. Not only will students be able to hear the teacher more clearly (enabling them to increase listening skills and speech articulation), but they will also be able to use the microphone themselves to share their contributions to the class. This will allow students to be better able to hear themselves, as well, to better increase their speech articulation.
