  • A Furry Friend For Life

    Funded Nov 27, 2010

Thank you so much for your generous donation for A Furry Friend For Life. My first graders were so delighted. They had an experience of a life time. This was a great field trip to end our unit on goods that are made and sold. They have learned the process/steps in creating a stuffed bear. My students were not aware that goods required so much time from the beginning to the end. They learned about the materials as well.

In addition, my students studied and learned about the various animal habitats. They were able to

compare and contrast. Each student was required to write an animal research report using two resources after being introduced to the animal kingdom.

Each of my students had such a great big smile on their faces as they completed their bear. They were able to insert a red heart within the body. They also were able to pick a bow(any color) of their choice and a red or pink scarf. My students were so proud of their bears that each one was named before taking them home. Furthermore, they all wanted to carry them as I dismissed them at the end of the day. Again, thank you so much for making this experience possible for my class. A field trip they will cherish for a long time. ”

As they practice, their eye/ hand coordination will improve. They are also learning the meaning of team work. This equipment is being use daily during the 5 recesses and PE time. All the students are exercising as well as having a great and fun time learning through the game of basketball. Thank you again.”

    Funded Dec 30, 2009

WOW! Thank you for your continuous support towards the education of all students. Your generous

donation to my project has made my teaching more exciting. My class is now using the HP Pavilion and Wireless Laser Mini Mouse with the Elmo TTOS2. The 2 year warranty will also come in handy if when needed.

My students were so excited and amazed with this laptop. We have already viewed our field trip pictures together. This will definitely be a tool to be used in all of my curriculum. I will be able to present articles as well as visual pictures from the Internet and educational sites for the students to view. The smiles and expression show their amazement and excitement. We will continue to explore and use the HP Pavilion wisely. Of course this is a tool that will be use with my future classes as well.

Thank you again for making this possible.”

  • Jelly Bean Experience

    Funded Sep 28, 2009

My students had a great experience at the Jelly Belly Factory. We were very fortunate that the factory was in full production. The tour was exciting and amazing. They were able to observe each stage on how to make a jelly belly as well as sampling. They were amazed at the portraits made out of the jelly belly as well as the various favors. Each student will be able to share their experience with one another through their writing/illustrations. Science of course will be included ( Solid and Liquid Unit). We will discuss the workers and the safety issues. Their smiles shows you the joy they had as they visited this factory. You are contributing to my students' education and to the leaders of the future. An experience they will cherish and remember always.

Thank you again for making this possible.”
