It is my honor to teach a wonderful group of 27 students at a small neighborhood elementary school in Arvada, Colorado. We are so excited to get the year started and are already working away, while having a great time getting to know each other as well. Our school serves a student population that is 43% minority, 45% free and reduced lunch, and 100% dedicated. First grade enrollment has gone up, (I had 17 students in my class last year) because of the quality education my team and I provide on a daily basis. Our school has a push-in inclusion model and work very hard to let every student know that they are valued and can achieve great things. While our school is a wonderful place to learn and grow, it is made so through the efforts and involvement of our community.
