Headphones for Reading Fun
Funded Oct 2, 2021Thank you for your cooperation in helping my students with their education. In this virtual world students use many educational platforms to support their learning experience. In my classroom we use a platform called Lexia Power Up. This program dictates to the students and they need to identify grammar, vocabulary and comprehension components. Students need to show their knowledge of these components to grow in the program. It is very difficult for students to get the most of this program when they can't hear the dictations given. This gift has helped my students get the most of their learning. This has made a huge impact for my 6th graders educational experience.”

Clutter Free Pockets, for a Easy Flow Environment!
Funded Oct 17, 2016First I would like to start off by saying "Thank You!". It feels amazing knowing there are great people out there with such big hearts, ready and willing to help out underprivileged children. These pouches have made a huge impact because my students use them every day. When my students come into the classroom they have a place to put their notebooks and pencil cases. In the past they had to put it on the side of the desk on the floor, because there was no place else. At times they put their things on top of the desk and it created a clutter on the desk. Furthermore, inside the desk had my homeroom students' books. Now they have their own personal storage in my classroom.
At first when my students came into the classroom many of them commented on the pouches and how cool they were. The students of room 217 thought they belonged to my homeroom class. When I told them it was for them to store their books and items, they were super excited, some gave me a hug and others stated "finally". The reactions on their faces was worth the effort of putting this project together.
Every donor has made a big impact on my students and on other students to come. These pouches are such good quality that they can be washed and used again next year for another set of kids. For students to get the best education they need materials to make that happen. Maintaining an organized learning environment is essential for students to learn. My class and I are appreciative to have the materials we need because of your generous donations. Once again "Thank You"!”
