Google Classroom Gurus
Funded Dec 2, 2020We couldn't be more appreciative of the generosity that allowed us to have Bluetooth keyboards in the classroom. Since we returned to blended in-person learning, we have continued to use technology in the classroom in order to maintain a smooth transition from remote days to in-person days. The Bluetooth keyboard have been a great help in keeping this transition smooth. We recently began an argumentative writing unit, and our students have been so happy to have the Bluetooth keyboards to type on rather than the tablet keypad. They have been typing away and sharpening their fine-motor skills right along with their writing skills!”

Funded Dec 4, 2019We kindly thank you for your generous donations which enabled us to purchase much needed lexmark ink for our printer. On a daily basis, we require multiple copies of differentiated materials for our mix of learners at all levels. This ink allows us to do so without worrying about being at a loss for copies. In addition, we recently had our students create hero's journey narratives as well as editorials regarding alternative energy sources. Because of your donations, we were able to print the student work to use for bulletin boards and portfolios.”

Funded Aug 12, 2019We sincerely thank you for your generous donations that allowed us to provide multi-pocket portfolios for our students. When we handed these out at the beginning of the year, our students were so excited to be given such a great gift.
Our students use these portfolios each day, and have divided the sections by subject as well as notices to take home, return to school, and homework. We have been using these portfolios to keep our handouts neat and organized. Each week, we sort and clean out our portfolios so that we keep up with our organization.
We truly appreciate your gift!”

Funded May 22, 2019We sincerely thank you for the donations that have allowed us to purchase the Seat Sacks we needed. The Seat Sacks have allowed our students to keep their desks neat and organized. In the past, our students have struggled to fit all of their textbooks, workbooks, notebooks, and independent reading books in their desks. Not only are the desks organized, but the students have learned an organizational routine as well.when they come in, they are able to sort their supplies and use the Seat sacks to hold their agendas and portfolios. The Seat sacks are a great resource for students to stay neat and organized!”

Funded Dec 11, 2018We can't express our gratitude enough for the Lexmark Ink. It is indescribably convenient to be able to print our own differentiated materials when we need them. Though our school is efficient with having copies of materials ready for us, many times materials require on the spot differentiation. This ink has been especially beneficial to our special needs students who require graphic organizers to help them in the learning process. In addition, our students have been able to publish their writing when they don't have access to a printer at home.”

Full STEAM Ahead!
Funded Nov 29, 2018We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude for the STEAM materials that your generous donations have afforded our class. We have been diving in to STEAM this year in preparation of adoption of the Next Generation Science standards, but materials can be expensive for both students and teachers. Thanks to you, we have had basic STEAM supplies like aluminum foil, styrofoam cups, wire, pom poms and pipe cleaners which our students used to design and build conductors and insulators. We look forward to the many more science concepts we can learn through STEAM and the materials that your generous donations have given us!”

Funded Mar 22, 2018This project has helped our students in so many ways. Thanks to your generous donations, we have had the luxury of replenishing the ink in our printer whenever it runs out. We have printed numerous differentiated materials to help our students achieve their very best as their abilities dictate. Our students appreciate the guided notes and scaffolded project outlines that we've been able to print for them. Their time is now focused on the content, and the struggle with organizing their notes has been alleviated!”

Print Power!
Funded Nov 9, 2017We would like to sincerely thank you for your generosity and give you an idea of how much we have benefited from the supplies we received. On a daily basis we need to print various reading and activity materials in order to differentiate instruction for above level, on-grade level and struggling learners. This is not an easy feat considering the limited budget of the school. We have used this ink to print materials for all domains of instruction including Math, Social Studies, Science, and Literacy. For this we thank you!”

Molding Minds and Making Methods Through Music
Funded Aug 25, 2017We would like to sincerely thank you for contributing to a project that has impacted our class in so many way ways. Upon first sight of our new bluetooth speaker, many of the students remarked at how cool and hi-tech our classroom is. It has provided an exciting incentive for our students who now can receive rewards in the form song choice for their classroom behavior.
Speaking of classroom behavior, we use the speaker to play specific songs for specific activities. For example, our students have gotten accustomed to copying homework while listening to Vremena Goda, a violin concerto. The music has not only provided a cue for the task, but also a time-frame in which the students must be oriented to their specific task. In addition, classical music sets the tone for group work by providing a noise level by which the students self-monitor their own volumes.
Finally, the speaker has helped us implement Move to Improve, an in-class physical activity program meant to activate neural connections in the brain through music and movement. This speaker has been a welcomed addition and we look forward using it more and more.”

Students Strive For Organizational Skills!
Funded Feb 9, 2017We cannot express how thankful we are for having received these binders! It would be an understatement to say that our students were excited to be getting binders. One student even said she felt like a high school student now, and she thanked us for treating her like a "mature adult."
Our students use the binders for all of their classwork. It has allowed them to keep everything in one place without confusing notebooks. It has even alleviated the "I forgot my notebook" excuse for incomplete homework! We intend to continue to use binders for those students that struggle with organizational skills.”
