Students in my classroom are currently given cookie cutter, one size fits all seats. Students in my classes are of many shapes and sizes and will benefit from alternative seating that allows them to bounce, wiggle, and sit up right. This year a record number of students have fallen from their seats. Flexible seating, including stability balls and stacking stools, will benefit students in many ways. Stability balls will allow them to wiggle and bounce while developing their balance and helping them focus on the tasks at hand. The stacking stools will ease the transition from individual to group tasks and allow for varying group sizes.
