These materials will make Reading and Writing Workshops run smoothly. I have students constantly searching for things or going to get things from across the classroom. With the storage bins and book bins, students will be able to access materials right at their desk. I have students grouped in pods to promote collaboration. This bins will be located right next to or on each pod. I requested a large box of crayons because over half of my class came in without coloring supplies. I have provided the pencils, but cannot afford to buy each student a set of coloring utensils. Students need coloring utensils for projects, publications, and illustrations. Finally, I requested a table to help with a listening center that I have created. This table will house a CD player, headphones, and books that are on audio. This center will be a part of the daily reading routines.
