  • Listen To What I Have To Say

    Funded Feb 3, 2023

I am so grateful that a company as huge as Disney took the time to help me with my project. It has really made a difference in my classroom having the headphones. The students have been able to focus better on their lessons on and off the computer.

Most of the students find it hard to really listen when there are other conversations going on around them. The headphones help cancelling out the noise so they can understand their lesson better. I have especially seen a great improvement in the students overall achievement scores.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. McDonnell

  • Headphones for Mastery

    Funded Oct 21, 2016

As you can see, I have a hard time with technology and I usually go to my students or my children for help. I apologize for the delay, but I didn't know how to upload the pictures. We are so grateful for the headphones that you have purchased for our class. Not only does it tune out the class noise and other classrooms that may be a bit too noisy, but it helps the students that are working at their desks.

The pictures show how the students are listening to an interactive lesson on the computer which is mandatory for my students. As they listen, the students who are writing are not being disturbed by the computer. This is very helpful because both groups of students are working on skills that they will be tested on later this year.

I have 177 children in my 8 classes and no 2 kids are alike. Yes, I have some that are easily distracted, ADHD, special needs, and even a couple who are hard of hearing. The headphones have worked wonders in these students finishing their work.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. McDonnell

My students are at different levels when it comes to reading and they really need to be focused when they are on their grade level. I have 40 students that are below the 25%ile and they are easily distracted. Our District bought a new series that requires the students to work mostly on line. As the rest of the group works on 7th grade level, they can work on their level that needs to be met without interruption. At the same time, the group that is working quietly at their desks, do not need to be hearing what is going on at the computers. They need to work on grade level material.
