  • Simple Stools for Amazing Artists

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

We have received all of our new stools for my Visual Arts classroom all thanks to YOU!

With the new semester starting this week, you were able to provide each of my students with a safe, stable, and comfortable place to sit.

Returning students immediately noticed and were excited to see our shiny, new furniture.

I also purchased new rubber feet for both our old and new stools, so now our classroom has less noise and distractions during instruction.

Your donations have made a huge difference in my classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Screws

  • Visual FX Class: Part 1

    Funded May 7, 2014

I cannot thank you enough for your donation to my classroom project. You have given my students access to professional artists' materials. We have only dreamed of using these products. The sculptures my students are creating are only possible with this new monster clay. My students have told me they love how easy it is to use. With traditional water-based clay we would worry about it drying out, this is not a problem with monster clay since it is wax based.

Aside from the clay, the metal wax carving tools are perfect for sculpting the monster clay. We have even been using a heat gun to warm up the metal tools to get incredibly fine details in our sculptures. The diversity of tool tips is also invaluably useful to create a variety of details and textures.

The human busts are also fantastic. They are the perfect size for building an anatomically correct mask.

You have changed my classroom for the better!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Screws

  • My Artists Need to Sit! (Part 1)

    Funded Mar 25, 2010

    The stools are PERFECT!

Since we have received the stools all of my students have been able to sit. There is never the concern of "did I get to class early enough so I get a stool?" The only problem we have now, is that everyone wants a new stool. Ha! What an awesome problem to have.

Having our new stools, now allows us to focus on the truly important thing. Making Great Art!

It may sound silly, but having new stools has given my students a little bit of an ego boost. We often seem to get everyone else's leftovers. While we are grateful for any donation to our classroom, it very special to receive the BRAND NEW gift of our stools.”
