In today's world so many of the better education programs are online. In our school district, we are stretched thin as far as technology goes. I currently have 12 computers in my room. They are at least 7 years old. The software and computers themselves are out of date and soon cannot hold a new update. I was told once they stop working they will not be repaired. This means I will have to use one of the school carts which is not usually available when I need it. 5th grade carries a busy schedule. The school district did say that if I figured out how to get a cart they would put computers in it for me. This means my students would have their cart We could take a test when we are ready. We would have access to so many more educational programs. Our typing skills are horrible and this would be amazing in helping improve typing and grammar. I have so many students that don't have basic math facts down when they enter 5th grade. This would allow me to catch them up while still teaching the standards laid out on the curriculum map.
