Our campus has been undergoing demolition for the past two weeks. The carpet had to be torn out and the closets that stored classroom materials are gone. Needless to say, the kids won't get to see their school as it was the last time they were here.
Nevertheless, for my classroom, I am looking to keep things simple but inviting. My goal is to still provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences in a safe and welcoming environment. However, cold, cement floors and dull brick walls won't really help me accomplish part of that. I would appreciate all the help I can get to get my class ready (again). Rugs will be placed under their group tables and reading area, the whiteboards and markers will be utilized when we meet during whole group lesson, and the lamps/lap-desk will be to accommodate differentiated seating options.
I thank you for taking the time to review my project and appreciate any form of help.
With gratitude,
Ms. Velasquez
