  • Roar for Lion Leaders!

    Funded Dec 5, 2024

Thanks to your generous support, our Lion Medals and Stickers have brought an extra level of excitement and pride to our Lion Leader Assemblies! These special rewards are used to celebrate students who demonstrate Leadership, Inclusivity, Optimism, and Nurturing (LION) behavior, reinforcing a positive school culture and encouraging all students to strive for excellence.

When students first saw the medals and stickers, their faces lit up with excitement! These tangible symbols of recognition make their hard work and positive actions feel even more meaningful. During assemblies, honorees proudly wear their medals, and stickers have become a badge of honor that students display with pride. Students are even more motivated to earn their Lion Leader recognition, creating a ripple effect of kindness, teamwork, and perseverance across our school.

We will continue using these medals and stickers as a key part of our school-wide incentive program, reinforcing the importance of positive behavior and celebrating student achievements. Your contribution has made a lasting impact on how we encourage, recognize, and inspire our young leaders—thank you for helping our students ROAR with pride! 🦁✨”

We will continue reinforcing positive behavior through this incentive system, ensuring every student feels seen, valued, and celebrated. Your generosity is helping us build a culture of encouragement and achievement.

These snacks have helped fuel our students throughout the day, keeping them energized and focused in class. Many students rely on these snacks to stay engaged, especially during long learning blocks.

  • Striving with STEM!

    Funded Dec 7, 2022

Students buzzed with excitement walking into recess. They knew that this was the moment we were going to open the boxes full of hands-on STEM manipulatives for them to engage in during their choice time.

Their choice time, every Friday, is a protected time when they are able to choose anything they wanted to do, and usually, most of them picked being on the computers.

With the arrival of these fun, new, and engaging activities, technology is a choice of the past!

Now, kids are building, problem-solving, and connecting through hands-on fun. because of your help! Endless appreciation.”

  • 'Time' for Kids to Succeed!

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

History can be an abstract subject for young students to understand. Sometimes it's challenging for the students to think beyond themselves and the present moment and jump back in time. Boring and dusty history books aren't motivating kids to read and be curious about history. Time Magazine is the opposite of that, motivating kids to read about the past in a cool and interactive way.

Time Magazine is used to practice so many different types of skills in the class. The kids are able to write on them to "talk back to the text" and annotate. We use it to practice skills like finding the main idea and details of the text and using text evidence to support our reading ideas. The photo and pictures help our students imagine themselves in the world of the past.

Thank you for this incredible gift!”

  • Truth through Art

    Funded Aug 12, 2022

"Wow! Cool!" Look at all the new art supplies!" My students rushed over to the newly open boxes excited to take a peek inside. Art materials from sharpies, watercolor paper, frames, and canvas fill up to the brim of the cardboard boxes. It was clear that our 4th students were ready to create!

Art is a very vulnerable subject. It's a form of expression. These new materials motivated our young artists to create freely! The students created name art with sharpies and special tagboard paper, which was followed by a writing task telling us what their name means. Also, the student used the black tagboard paper to create a Picasso inspired self-portrait, which I framed! Seeing their work so loved and valued encouraged them to continue creating from their hearts.

    Thank you again!”

  • Math Rocks!

    Funded Jul 16, 2022

Our fourth-grade mathematicians are over the moon with your generous Teachers Pay Teachers donation. Teachers Pay Teachers is a website created by teachers to share lesson plans of all levels, subjects, and styles. We love using it to support teachers, and to pay for lesson plans that support our reality of the classroom that sometimes district curriculum don't offer.

We purchase many engaging interactive math lessons on the website. Students were able to work with lessons that were visually helpful when they rounded numbers, and add or subtract big numbers. Students practiced math using lessons for the computer specifically.

Thank you again for this awesome donation!”
