Clean up that Puppy's Palace!
Funded Oct 4, 2011I want to thank all of you for your generous donation to DonorsChoose that allowed us to purchase cleaning supplies for our animal science classroom. We use the paper towels, spray cleaners, and laundry detergent every day to ensure the animals are kept in a clean and sanitary environment.
Our program not only provides real world skills the students can use after high school, it introduces students to the joys of having an animal in their life. Many of them have grown up in an environment that has little regard for domestic animals. By showing them the important role that our pets can play in our life, we help turn them into animal advocates and better citizens.
The health of our animals is one of our top priorities, and your generosity helps ensure that we have all the necessary supplies to achieve an optimum level of cleanliness. Thank you again! ”

Mrs. Dalton

Funded Feb 15, 2011I want to thank you again for your generosity in enabling us to purchase the grooming tools for our animal science classroom. The students are appreciating the upgrade to new and better equipment, and their grooming and nail clipping skills are already improving!
For many of my students, the opportunity to learn a valuable skill in high school is critical. Grooming and animal handling skills enable them to go immediately from high school into quality employment. Some students use these jobs as a stepping stone into the veterinary medicine or biology fields, while others make a career in the grooming industry.
Like so many other schools, our budgets do not allow us to purchase equipment often enough to keep pace with industry standards. Thanks to your support, the students are now learning with the same tools currently used by professional groomers in our area.”

Paper, Paper, We Need Paper!!
Funded Dec 6, 2010I cannot thank you enough for your generous contributions to this DonorsChoose project. The paper we were able to purchase is used every day in our classroom. The students are able to practice record-keeping skills on animal health, and gain a greater understanding of the business skills that are essential in any work environment.
Like so many other schools around the country, our budget is severely limited, and there is no money for essential items such as paper. Our students, unfortunately, are the ones who miss out on important learning opportunities when materials cannot be purchased.
Without your generosity, my students and many others would go without essential learning tools. Thank you for your donations, and know that you are an important part of preparing the next generation of our country's workforce.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Dalton
Keepin' The Critters Clean and Safe!!
Funded Sep 14, 2010Dear Donors,
I want to again express my sincere thanks for your generous contributions to DonorsChoose. My students use the various cleaning supplies everyday in our animal science laboratory. These items help the students practice animal health industry standards for cleanliness and sanitation. They also allow us to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all of our animals.
As in many schools in the country, our district is facing a major budget crisis. There is no money for supplies such as these. Without your help, my students would not be able to master these invaluable skills that are essential for success in the work force.
Thank you again for your support of students, and your investment in the next generation of workers.

Taking Those Puppies' Pictures
Funded Aug 21, 2009We cannot thank you enough for your help in purchasing the Digital Camera and photo paper for our program. We have already been using the camera to snap candid photos of the students while they work in the animal science lab. There are pictures of the students grooming, bathing dogs, clipping nails, and working with our small animals.
As the semester continues, we will be putting together the Senior Portfolios, and we will be able to use the photo paper to print off the photos and place them in binders. This will help the students secure an internship site, as well as be used for college applications.
Education is the foundation of success, and so often schools are under-funded and unable to provide the education that each student so rightly deserves. Thanks to your generosity, students in a poor school like ours are given an opportunity to secure a better future for themselves.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Dalton
