• Bringing Science & Technology to the AgriScience Classes

  Thank you for the donation to addition of NeuLog devices and sensors to the New Lisbon AgriScience Department. Being able to test for quality soil during our science experiments has been fun and educational, something that we haven't seen in our classroom in a long time. The science "tools" we were donated allow us to explore science in a way we have never seen before. We are preparing ourselves for college by being able to experiment with and use these devices. We enjoy coming to school and class now because of the possibility to explore in science each day!

  This week were were able to test soil pH with our sensor. We are able to explore conductivity within soil by using the conductivity sensor and adding Miracle Grow fertilizer to the soil. We are able to make connections to class lectures because of these tools now! Thank you!”

• AgriScience Shop Tool Upgrade

  Funded Dec 15, 2016

  My students have been using the new tools to reassemble their engine projects in the shop class. By having multiple sets of tools, students are not sharing as often and they are able to reassemble the engine at a faster pace.

  My students were excited to have these new tools. They all said it has made the semester project of reassembling of their assigned engine easier. Future classes will be able to use the tool sets purchased during future classes.

  As we finish out the semester, students have been able to complete reassembly of more engines than in prior years. The tool kits have replaced many damaged tools from the class.

• Small Engines Text and Dial Calipers

  Funded Nov 12, 2016

  My students have been using the new dial calipers to measure various circumferences on parts of their engines. This allows them to order new parts when necessary because they know the exact sizes. Prior to this year, students were not able to completely fix their engines because they could not order new parts when necessary.

  My students were excited to have these new tools. They all said it has made the semester project of diagnosing the problem of their assigned engine easier. Future classes will be able to use the dial calipers during the measuring unit not after now. The diagrams in the text book have helped with reassembly of many engines.”
