  • Creating Customizable Crafts

    Funded Dec 2, 2024

This project has had a huge impact on my students. My students look forward to their projects and are eager to do well on them. They really enjoy the snow globes and had so much fun making ornaments at Christmas. They also really enjoy that they can win art materials when they have earned a certain amount of tickets.

I love being able to give my students things that they have never had before. These new experiences are good for them, and they get excited about trying new things. This is the best way to celebrate ; different holidays and allows them to make gifts for friends and family. They are always excited for their classmates too; they enjoy seeing what they get for their reward, and join in on their happiness.”

My students are motivated by all of the prizes they are able to earn for writing and all subjects. The atmosphere in my classroom has changed the way the act and learn. The light covers, pixie lights and other decor make it a relaxed place to write and learn. Almost all students have earned prizes so far for their academics and the look forward to earning more. • Field Day and Class Pary Extravaganza

    Funded Oct 9, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. My students are thrilled that they have these resources to use all year long. They had never used some of the games including hockey, potato sack racers, limbo and several others. They are eager to learn and look forward to our next class party so they can try something new. This year we can have field day too which is something that we haven't had for 3 years. We lost our PTA so we have to provide our own games at the end of the year. This year my students are already talking about which games they like and look forward to field day. It's so nice to see my students happy and have things they look forward to at school. Thank you so much for donating to this amazing project. I couldn't have made this happen without your support.”

  • iReady to Work Hard, So This Year Doesn't Succulent!

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Sometimes the books that the district has selected (to teach our students) do not meet the rigor they see on end of levels. This project has allowed me to supplement with I-Ready Reading and better prepare them for End of Levels. The stories are enjoyable and memorable and they follow the direct teaching model. This curriculum allows me to teach in a way that sets my students up for success. I take the district approved curriculum and the I-Ready curriculum and use both to ensure growth. With this grant I also was allowed to provide my students with a calm happy environment. They seem to enjoy being in class and having supplies to use that they can call their own. Without donations from donors like you, I wouldn't be able to afford all of the supplies out of pocket. I want to be able to provide the best school experience possible. With your help I know this is more likely to happen and students are the ones who benefit from it. Thank you for this project!”

  • SEL Saves the Day!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Thank you for donating to my classroom. This project was originally wrote for my 6th grade students but I have been able to use them with my 4th graders. Families are able to check out a book for home and read them with their student for additional support for SEL lessons outside of school and the classroom. A lot of parents want to use books at home but dont have the resources availible. This project has allowed most parents to use books at home to enforce concepts taught in class. The student were excited to see the books and they are even more excited that they can check them out. Thank you so much Donors Choose! Your company truely makes dreams come true!”

  • What Makes You Strive to Do Hard Things?

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

My students have worked hard to earn the prizes and rewards from this project. They are motivated to work hard and improve their goals. I think having little things to look forward to help boost moral and grit. Along the way its the little things that makes life a little easyier/rewarding especially when things get tough.

This year I have students who got straight f's last year and didn't improve during the year. This is also the group that lost 3 and a half months of 4th grade. They are behind but they are also realizing that they can do hard things. So far as a 6th grade they have already improved more this year than they did last year by the end of the year.

They rewards started out stirctly based on in class motivators for behavior and academics. It has now transformed into a class store. where kids who earn tickets for goal setting, academics or behavior can use their tickets to purchase prizes from the school store. It is a little more time consuming but they are extremely excited. Its also something new to help the motivation continue for the next 5 months. Lastly I use the laminator machine to laminate their progress for testing and scores. They are posted in the classroom so that everyone knows exaclty as a class how we are doing.

We appreicate the donations very much, It truly helps motivate my students to do better and try harder. It's because of people like you that help make my job a little easyier. Thank you for all of your help and support.”

Hello, and welcome to the 4th grade. In my class, students learn to explore science and become better at reading and math. I push my students to work hard and in the end they feel intrinsically rewarded. I teach in a school were most of my students need a stable adult in their life. I want to be the teacher they remember for helping them become the person they want to be. With hard work and motivation my students can do anything they set their minds too!
