Miter Saw Madness!!
Funded Mar 23, 2018My students were incredibly excited to have a new power tool to use in our middle school woodshop. In middle school we spend a lot of time learning the safety and use of a new power tool before we actually put it to use. Having a state of the art power tool was really helpful for our students to learn and practice good safety habits with the benefits of safety guards and stops being intact.
Our first project was cutting angle pieces for pictures frames. This went smoothly with the help of our new miter saw.
With your help, we now can explore many projects that require straight 90 degree cuts and offset angle cuts.
Thank you again for your generousity!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Quick
Proper Storage! A Classroom's Best Friend
Funded Sep 12, 2016My students couldn't have been more excited to unpack boxes of VEX Robotic equipment and organize the material into our new storage units. The anticipation of building with such equipment made the organization and storage process quite rewarding.
After several class periods of reviewing the design process and learning about mechanisms. The students were able to start their first project of designing and building a windmill that would use different mechanisms to transfer movement and power.
Our final project of the year will be to design and build an automated assembly line. I speak for my all of my classes when I say thank you, for allowing us the opportunity to experience state of the art technology!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Quick
