Dazzling Dissection: A Study Of Vertebrates
Funded Oct 11, 2012Thank you so much for supplying frog dissection kits, gloves, and spring scales for my science classroom. My students learn so much more by doing hands-on projects.
During the frog dissection, my students learned about the digestive, muscular, reproductive, integumentary, and respiratory systems of a vertebrate. Due to your generous donation, the students were able to work in pairs to apply what they had previously learned about body systems to an actual frog's anatomy.
Without generous support from folks like you our dissection would not have been possible. I look forward to working with you for many years to come to give our students a high quality level of science education.”

A Mooving Experience: Cow Eye Dissection
Funded Oct 20, 2011What a wonderful experience! My students truly had an amazing educational experience when they got to dissect the cow eyes and the pig hearts that your group provided for my classes. The students learned about the different parts of the cow eyes and pig hearts. This was the 3rd year your group has supplied cow eyes for my class and the 1st year that we received pig hearts. This experience gave my students the chance to compare and contrast the differences and similarities between human organs and animal organs. Thanks to your generous donations my classes will hopefully be able to dissect pig hearts and cow eyes for many years to come.
Thank you for the gloves and new safety glasses that you provided for my students' safety. Because of your generous donation, my students experienced a never-forget moment.”
With gratitude,
Mr. McClellan
A Mooving Experience, Energy Forms, and Body Systems
Funded Oct 8, 2010Wow! My students truly had a wonderful educational experience dissecting the cow eyes that your group provided for my classes. The students learned about the different parts of the cow eye by experiencing it through a hands-on activity. This opportunity gave my students the chance to compare and contrast the differences and similarities between a human eye and a cow eye. The students were so excited to do the dissection that they kept asking me when we were going to do it. Before I became the science teacher for my grade level, the students never dissected anything. Even now, I have older students telling me that they wish they could have dissected something during their 6th grade year. This is our second year to dissect cow eyes and thanks to your generous donations we will do it for many years to come.
Your group also donated a heart model, a lung model, aprons, and gloves. In the next few days, we will use all of these items to dissect a pig heart and lung. One of my students is so excited about doing the dissection that she has asked me for the last two weeks when we are going to do the dissection. She even commented that she wants to be my assistant for the dissection.
Through your generous donation, my students truly experienced a once in a lifetime educational experience.”

Mr. McClellan
Cow Eye Dissection
Funded Oct 7, 2009Thank you so much for your generous donation of preserved cow eyes and safety goggles for my science classroom. My students and I thoroughly enjoyed and learned so much about the parts of a cow eye by dissecting them. This was my first time as a science teacher to dissect cow eyes with my students. It was a truly amazing experience!
Through the help of your generous donation, my students were able to learn using a "hands-on" approach. My students were extremely excited during the dissection and it is my feeling that they learned so much more my actually dissecting an eye instead of just reading about the cow eye out of a book.
The safety goggles are a considerable improvement over our old safety glasses. Our old glasses did not fit my students well. The adjustable goggles are wonderful for my students and the bright colors seem to make the students keep them on better than before. Not only did we use the safety goggles for the cow eye dissection, but we are also able to use them for other experiments such as chemical reactions. Once again, thank you for your donation. Without your help, my students would not have had the great experience of dissecting a cow eye.”
With gratitude,
Mr. McClellan
