Dash and Dot are robots that can be controlled through an app on the iPad where students can make them talk, move, and create sequences of multi-step directions to follow. The students I work with need practice in using fine motor skills which are utilized in order to navigate the robots as well as making a path for them to follow. They also do best following directions in non-conventional ways which are used in coding activities to do with the robots on the app. Another area that they need extra practice in is conversational skills. Dash can be programmed to say and ask things which will promote the students using multi-exchange conversations.
