Extra Supplies Needed!
Funded Apr 1, 2025I am so excited to let you know that we have received our project materials, and we are putting them to good use in our classroom. Being able to use our supplies and have them readily available to each student anytime they need to use or replace something is a great help. We received lots of bright colored dry erase markers, erasers, extra pencils, and clip boards for our group work in and out side our classroom.
My students were so excited to see the amazon boxes getting delivered to our classroom, and opening them up was like celebrating Christmas in April!
Once again, we want to thank you for helping to make our project a reality!”

Funded May 8, 2024Thank you so much for choosing to donate to our classroom project! I am writing to send a heart felt Thank You! Our project was fully funded and we were able to purchase some really awesome wobble chairs and alternative seats for our classroom! I can't wait to start the new school year with these seats for my sudents.
During the summer, our extended school year students throughly enjoyed having the option of an alternative seat, especially when they felt full of energy and found it hard to concentrate. These wobble seats helped them to be able to move and focus on the task at hand. What a difference these seats can make!
Again, I just wanted to express my excitment and say Thank you so much for supporting my students and helping to make my classroom a better place to learn! Love and Happy Learning to you all.”

Funded Nov 4, 2023I can not express my thanks enough! Last week the materials I requested through the Donors Choose project were delivered to my classroom! I couldn't wait to open each box and get the materials set up for my students to use! My students were surprised to find a fancy new neon colored pencil on each of their desks. Now, this might not seem like a big deal, but to a fourth grader the cooler the pencil the more excited they are to work and write with it! Just a new material like a neon colored pencil will motivate my students to work a little harder.
Motivation is one of the toughest keys to learning this school year, and adding something new and exciting to use for the school day can make all the difference in our classrooms. Thank you again for contributing to our class project, and please know that you have impacted the learning for my very special fourth graders!”

Come Read with Us!
Funded Nov 30, 2021Today, we finally received our books and magazine orders from Scholastic Books. There is nothing like holding an actual book in your hands, as you take a journey through a new topic or idea. My students need to hold and read these materials in their own hands. Being able to add these reading materials to our classroom library will offer my students amazing reading experiences. Adding these books, will provide diverse library selections for my students to choose from. Having this variety of reading material is more important than ever. Topics like science, social studies, and culture are hot-button topics in our world today, these reading materials will help to make diverse options a reality in our classroom.”

Funded Oct 10, 2021I am so excited to share the impact this project has had on my classroom! As a result of having this project funded, I was able to purchase some much needed supplies for our classroom. These supplies have been used to enhance my math and science curriculum. The dry erase boards and supplies have made solving problems more interactive and exciting during our math lessons. We have been able to play some creative games with the dice and cards I purchased to help strengthen our fact fluency. For our morning meetings, I was also able to purchase some materials for social emotional learning lessons. After our year with Covid-19, our students have struggled to come back school while dealing with social emotional issues, and these materials have helped to guide my lessons and make them more exciting for my students as they learn to deal with the heavy issues of our world today.
All in all, we are so grateful for the support and consideration of our classroom project we will work hard to make you proud as we continue through our learning experiences.”

Funded Jan 26, 2018The "Get Your Teach On" conference was amazing! I had the fantastic opportunity to meet and exchange teaching ideas with other teachers from around the country. What better way to validate using engagement strategies in my own classroom, than talking with other teaching professionals about how effective they are when used in the classroom. I can't wait to bringing back some of these new and exciting engagement strategies, as well as a renewed sense of strength for being in the classroom everyday!
The conference provided several renowned guest speakers who not only entertained, but shared their passion for working with children. The highlight of the conference, was getting to work with Hope and Wade King. These two educators, have written a book called, "The Wild Card" and during our conference, they demonstrated how to put new engagement strategies to work in the classroom.
I am extremely humbled by the support I was given by the donors who made the conference experience possible for me. It is my promise to you, that I will work to make my classroom an exciting and engaging place for my students everyday.”
