Technology Is Transformational

Technology has been very useful in our classroom and has been extremely successful. We have used it daily for both ELA centers and also math centers. The students also have five minutes of down time to practice their typing. I recognize the importance of developing these technological skills in students so they will have a foundation to be prepared to enter the workforce as adults.

My students prefer technology because they believe that it makes learning more interesting and fun. They especially love the laptops because they know they are easily accessible. The subjects that students deem challenging or boring have become more interesting with virtual lessons, or through a video.

I believe that technology helps my students retain information better. Some of my students have been especially content with this new technology in the classroom because they do not have this access to computers at home. They look forward to coming to school everyday because of it.”
