• Colds and Flu Are Upon Us!

  Thank you so much! Just today I had students fighting colds looking for tissues, and I was ecstatic to have them on hand! I cannot thank you enough! It may seem like a small thing - I assure you it isn't.

  The students feel "taken care of" when they have "real" Kleenex here for them to use. A rough patch of flu has wrecked our student body and our staff over the last couple weeks. These supplies are a Godsend. I honestly think it helps them recover faster and fight off the flu better to know that they are cared about.

• Magnetic Poetry Project!

  As soon as the magnet words were on their desks my creative writing classes were 100% engaged. That never happens in the teaching world! There's always at least one hold out. Magnetic poetry is fascinating to students and something they are all successful doing! Thank you so much for cerating that moment for my students!

• Free and Accessible Feminine Hygiene Products

  Thank you so much! Our students have a more compassionate environment thanks to your generosity. Our school Safety officer told me that students already were letting each other know, "There are free tampons in the bathroom!" It may not seem super impactful to some, but that kind of kindness changes culture.

  Thank you so much for your generosity and for allowing our students to come to school and not worry about having a pad or tampon. It is such a relief to our learners and allows them to just focus on school.

• Creative Writing Clipboards

  This is so exciting! The boards are here already! I am so excited to go on writing excursions with the Creative Writing students! We take trips outside into nature, we look at artwork in the school and write about it. We do journalism exercises where we go out and do interviews. We imagine characters coming into our school. These boards will get so much use in Creative Writing! Thank you so much!

  Also, they are being kept in the English Department room, where all classes can use them at any point. The amount of use the boards will get . . . your money will be well spent! Thank you so much for your support of public education!”

• Mental Health Boost!

  Thank you so much for funding our proposal! Giving freshmen fidget spinners will help with the stress and potentially help with the anxiety that accompanies it. Thank you for your concern for their mental health!

  We are also enjoying the art supplies! Thank you so much! They have already been used in countless projects from Econ to English to student council nominations to kids who like to doodle!

  And! Our Halloween Dance will be the best! I am so excited! An all-school event for students where they can dress in costume and enjoy the festivities is going to be a highlight!

• Kindness Week and Festivities!

  Thank you so much for giving us materials for kindness week! We are amped to have our second annual celebration of kindness!

  Our frisbee fest is coming in September! Students will throw frisbees into goals, around the school like a golf course! They will win prizes for the best score! It is such a boost to have students have something to look forward to, and get involved with!

  Our chess tournament this year will offer fabulous prizes and get even more students involved with a healthy hobby.

• Uplifting Students!

  Thank you so much for providing healthy snacks for my students that they can access anytime they feel hungry; no questions; no explanations. It is wonderful to have a snack cupboard for students to access!

  Because of the rising costs and stagnant salaries, I can no longer afford to purchase these necessary items. It is such a boost to students' mental health to have food at the ready! Students families struggle sometimes, and sometimes . . . it's just a long day with long gaps between meals. Your donation has helped us meet students most baisc needs. Thank you so much!”

• Making a Memorable Year!

  Thank you so much for the excitement you brought to our school! We are hosting a school wide UNO tournament to start off the year! Complete with Giant Uno card prizes! It may sound silly, but it is such an uplift for kids to have something to look forward to - even something silly like an Uno tournament.

  Other events to follow include a pinewood derby and a Giant Jenga tournament! So much fun you have given us!

  It is a boost to student mental health to have fun activities lined up that they can be a part of and enjoy!
