Game-based activities help promote motivation, student engagement and create active learners. My students love to play games and are motivated to work hard when learning is fun and engaging! By donating to my project, you will help me create an environment where learning is not only fun and engaging, but will help increase student's attention span and encourage participation. Because students are actively engaged in learning during game-based activities, students are more likely to retain the knowledge they gain during the activity. As my students practice skills they have learned in math, science, and other subjects, they will use Connect4, Kerplunk, and our outside games as they work through their practice. This will help keep them motivated to continue their practice until it is complete. Students will also learn to work together as a team to help us create a positive and inclusive classroom environment as they encourage each other while playing both individually and as teams.
