  • Keeping Myself Organized

    "Keeping Myself Organized" has been a wonderful organization tool to our class. I cannot thank you enough for the binders.

    Students love that the binders are large, and they can store a lot of their work. We use it daily to place their class/community work and reports.

    Students as well as the teacher love that they can just go to one place and find everything they need. This is also teaching my Life Skills students how to be organized in other places (work sites, at home).

    Students have decorated the sides with their picture and name for easy access. We also like that they are strong, durable, and reusable.”

  • Laminating for Success

    This classroom project was brought to life by Emerson Collective and one other donor.
Each of the students will make a book (kind of like a scrapbook) of their school days and what they do. First, it will include their daily visual schedule and then we will print pictures using the printer every time we do a special project or volunteer in the community so that through out the year they have a reminder of what they did and they can take it home at the end of the year. We will also use the pictures and laminator for my non verbal students by creating different types of communication (visual) boards. Due to the fact that we repeat lessons/information daily laminating information sheets (for different subjects) is much easier and saves paper than printing new every day. My students are amazing and work really hard. I know that the supplies I am requesting will make a huge difference. From daily schedules to assignments to the school book it will be an awesome educational experience.
