My students are in need of technology in the form of Ipads. My students have limited resources and do not have access to the Internet at home. I have 2 students with physical impairments who would benefit from having their own Ipad at school to take notes using a Speech to Text program. They need the opportunity to investigate the Internet and the resources available to investigate their hopes and dreams when they graduate from high school. The addition of technology would give my students a much needed boost of practice in the areas of listening and speaking. Students who are confident in their listening and speaking abilities will be ready to face the challenges of higher education and the workplace.The I-Pads will allow my students to navigate websites on the Internet about specific jobs they may be interested in as well as promoting reading and comprehension skills.
