  • More Independence!

    Funded Sep 5, 2016

We are so grateful for your generous donation!!! Through your donation, I was able to set up literacy and math centers where students continue to gain more independence with their reading and math skills. They utilize the headphones to listen to audio books, play math games on the computer and other various educational games.

The headphones are being put to good use on a daily basis. In addition, the headphones have proved a valuable asset as students who struggle with reading, can now listen and follow along with texts they may not have otherwise enjoyed. As technology is a vital part of a child education, being proficient on the computer is a valuable lifelong skills for all learners. Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Altmeier

This classroom project was brought to life by the estate of Dorothea Lutz and 3 other donors.
  • Bulletin Board to Showcase Hard Work

    Funded Nov 30, 2016

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and generous gift! Your donation will go to great use as I proudly display and showcase student work! My students will love seeing their work on display and hopefully it will motivate them to get their work "up" and they can continue being proud of their accomplishments.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Altmeier

By utilizing the headphones in our classroom students can work independently on literacy and phonics programs. They can also research and watch educational videos about topics in class. When giving recreation time, students can take a break and enjoy their favorite programs and online educational games. The storage cart will be used to hold our school supplies, which teaches them independence and organization. The drawers are labeled with each supply they hold, and students need to maintain neatness and use organizational skills to access their school supplies. This is important in a special education class where we emphasis independence and decision making.
