  • Amplify Our Love of Music

    Funded Oct 4, 2019

We are so grateful for your generosity and donation of the bass amplifier and wireless microphones. The chorus students were so excited to use them in our Winter Concert last week. We were able to include not only the chorus students, but all of the modern band students together to perform a few songs as a large ensemble. Because of your generosity we were able to have students play on the bass guitar and it was amazing for them to be heard over the chorus singing and the modern band instruments playing. We are excited to continue growing our music program and use these supplies in many more concerts to come. In addition, all the vocal soloist were excited to use the new wireless microphones during their solos, they felt like rock stars! Thank again from the bottom of our hearts!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Pagan

  • Giving Our Drums Some Dancing Feet!

    Funded Mar 8, 2019

On the behalf of my self and all the music students at Amelia Earhart Elementary we are so grateful for your generosity and support! The students were thrilled to receive the djembe feet and quickly began to explore drumming in their music classes. We were excited to feature our drums sporting their new feet in our Spring Concert for all the students and families to see and hear the beautiful music they make. Because of your generosity we are continuing to build our world drumming ensemble. This was the first year that we were able to have a music classroom and these amazing drums to use. In conclusion, we hope our music program continues to grow and we are so grateful you took a part in making that happen for the students at Amelia Earhart Elementary School.”

  • Let’s Make Beautiful Music!

    Funded Oct 17, 2018

I am truly grateful for your generosity to our music program. The music students of Amelia Earhart Elementary School were so excited to received your donation of the music stands and the tubano drum. Because of your generosity my students will be able to have music stands for the first time to use in their music classroom and for concerts throughout the school year. We have been looking forward to starting a world drumming ensemble at our school. Having the addition of a new tubano drum will help us continue to grow the amount of students who can participate in the ensemble.”

  • ORFF We Go!

    Funded Nov 3, 2017

On the behalf of my self and all the music students at Amelia Earhart Elementary we are so grateful for your generosity and support! The students were thrilled to receive the new Orff Xylophones and quickly began to learn how to play a song with them. We featured these new instruments in our Winter Chorus Concert for all the students and families to see and hear the beautiful music they make. These instruments are helping us to build a classroom with Orff Xylophones in them. We hope that one day we will have a whole class set so more students will be able to participate. This was the first year that several of my 5th grade students were able to use these Orff instruments during the Middle School band auditions, therefore impacting their future as musicians. In conclusion, we hope our music program continues to grow and we are so grateful you took a part in making that happen for the students at Amelia Earhart Elementary School.”

  • The Singing Aviators Love to Create Beautiful Music and Shine!

    Funded Oct 7, 2016

On the behalf of myself and all the music students of Amelia Earhart Elementary School we want to thank you so much for all your generosity. My students were so excited to receive the resources for their music program. I had a group of chorus members help me to open the boxes and it thrilled me to see the excitement on their faces to see what was inside.

The chorus risers were such a success at our Winter Concert. We were able to fit all of our 47 chorus members on the stage comfortably to be seen by all of their parents. The risers were so beautiful and light weigh allowing us to have additional space for the chorus students to stand. We look forward to using these risers for future concerts for many more years to come!

In addition, the music students were excited to have a real wooden Orff alto xylophone to use and learn how to play in their music class. They were so excited to use the alto xylophone for the first time. Even my special education students with learning disabilities were able to benefit and enjoy the use of the alto xylophone. To see the look on my students faces the first time they heard the instrument being played was priceless!

The next step for my music students is to learn, practice and prepare for auditioning with the alto xylophone for our All-State music festival next year. Having this instrument to use will open more doors for my music students to have a well-rounded music education.

Thank you for considering and donating funding for our music project!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Pagan

This project will help low-income, immigrant Hispanic students to have access to new musical instruments for their music class. This project would be an investment into their future as music makers and would significantly help them grow as musicians. The students having access to an Alto Xylophone would be amazing! This would allow them to create beautiful music and they would be eligible to audition for the Florida Music Educators Elementary All-State Orff Ensemble. Only students who have access to this instrument are allowed to audition for this prestigious honor. Something our school would never be able to afford on our own. The chorus risers would bring amazing musical opportunities for all of the students in our school. The chorus riser will allow many students to be able to participate in school wide music concerts. My students love to sing and these risers would help them all be able to stand comfortable, allowing them to be seen by the audience members and be able to dance freely as they perform. Please consider Amelia Earhart and the Singing Aviators Music Students in funding our music project!
