Easel & Listening Center to Make Our Days Great!
Funded Sep 15, 2019Thanks to your generous donation my students are able to listen to books on tape or CD during their independent learning center time and work at our easel.
Listening to stories helps build my students' vocabulary. Some students do not have the privilege of a home library so the opportunity to listen to a variety of books read to them is not there. They are so excited to see what book is chosen each week for them to listen to at our listening center.
Our whole group lessons are most often done using our interactive whiteboard and an easel. Our old easel would no longer erase easily and was falling apart. My students love coming up to the easel to spell and write words. It is also the perfect easel for our large chart paper that we use to make anchor charts all the time.
Thank you again!”

Funded Mar 13, 2018Thank you so much for your donation. Since incorporating this new shelf into our learning center time my students have worked so hard on their work, they enjoy learning center time much more since they are now able to choose the activity they would like to work on and the center is geared towards their current level which makes it a more meaningful learning experience. Using this shelf for center time has also given them the independence needed to be first grade ready. I am so excited to start the 2018-2019 school year with this new shelf and instill the routine with my new group right at the beginning of the school year.”

Carpet Needed for Our Meeting Space!
Funded Jul 13, 2017My students and I can not begin to thank you enough for your donations for our new carpet. First, it makes our classroom so much more inviting! Almost every time someone new walks into my classroom they comment immediately about how nice our new carpet is. Second, it makes our "meeting space" so cozy especially as we start each day off with our morning meeting time. Also, when students work on various activities during learning center time, they now have a comfortable space to spread out on. The colorful rows also make it great for calling children to line up (if you are in a green square line up) and to pair them up with a partner (red square pair up with an orange square) to work on an activity.
This new carpet has helped make the start of our school year a great one and I can't wait to see all the other ways we can use our new meeting space.”

Funded Feb 16, 2017I can't begin to thank you enough for your generous donation. My group of students were so excited when our iPads and iPad cases arrived and they were able to start using them in class each day. A number of my students do not have an iPad, tablet, or computer at home so if they aren't getting the opportunity to use them in school they are not becoming comfortable with using technology like some of the other students. Now thanks to the Ipads we have in class, each student is getting their required time on various ELA and Math programs completed each week quicker. We are able to rotate students through this center more efficiently.
Technology is such an important part of our society today and I am so thankful that all my students now can experience it right in our classroom.”

Mrs. Joslyn
