These supplies will impact student learning immensely. Student are constantly needing supplies and in this low income neighborhood supplies dwindle fast and are difficult to replenish. We plan to use these supplies throughout the school year. If we receive these supplies student will not have to worry or stress if they will be prepared for class. Student would use pencils for math and pens for writing. Student would benefit greatly from pencil grips to help sustain handwriting while writing. It would also be amazing to have fun tact for student to stick their written ideas to our concrete walls. Sentence strips are great for students to create titles for thier work and to create movable visual tools to guide student learning. A pencil sharpener would allow students to spend more time learning rather then manually sharpening pencils. My class would benefit greatly from a white board easel. It can be moved around the room for adaptable instruction and easy viewing. We currently have chalk boards in the room that are outdated and difficult to write on and clean. Students have difficulty reading what is written on the chalk board. In addition to the easel, the sticky chart paper would serve as a tool to preserve student ideas and create anchor charts for students to refer to throughout the year. These charts could be moved around the room and referenced frequently when needed by students who need review or reminders when working independently.
