  • Calm Classroom, Calm Life

    Funded Sep 6, 2024

I am incredibly grateful for the generous donations of the Hanging Closet organizers and the file organizer. These thoughtful contributions have a significant impact on creating a more organized and efficient learning environment for my students. In a multi-level and multi-grade classroom, it can be a challenge to keep everything in order, especially when materials need to be age- and ability-appropriate. The Hanging Closet organizers have provided a dedicated space for the students' toileting items, helping to maintain a clean and clutter-free environment. Meanwhile, the file organizer has allowed me and my staff keep lessons and academic activities neatly arranged, ensuring that we can easily access the right materials for each student. These donations have helped ensure a calm, safe, and organized space where students can focus and thrive. Thank you for your support in making this possible.”

    With gratitude,

  • Alternative Way to Writing

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

We want to thank you so much for your generosity. I can't begin to tell you what it means for our students to have writing tools at their fingertips! They are sweet, hard-working, highly intelligent kids who just need alternative ways to show their knowledge. Again, thank you, and we will send you pictures after we we start using the alternative writing tools to show you what we've done! Our classroom is a better place because of your awesome contribution.”

They are having fun and learning at the same time with the Skoolzy Rainbow Stacking Bears, Magnetic Fishing Kids Toys Games Letters, and the Magnet Blocks Building sets.

You should have seen their faces of joy and curiosity when they saw the activity sets. Thank you forgiving my students the means and opportunity to enjoy their learning experiences. our nexts steps are to continue to learn functional academic skills and begin learning life skills.”

  • This Is Not Good Bye. See You Later!

    Funded Jun 1, 2023

Thank you for your donations. It was bittersweet seeing my seniors off after working with them for several years. Your contribution allowed me to send them off with a very meaningful and functional farewell gift. The look in their faces when they opened they saw their gifts brought me so much joy. They each received a personalized pencil/materials pouch, filled with an inspirational journal, pencils, and a class of 2023 bookmark engraved with their name. You and your donations made this farewell gift possible, and for that I am very grateful.”

I am beyond grateful for the possibilities we have thanks to your donations. Our students are starting with a quilt project and are excited about the endless possibilities they have now that we have a classroom sewing machine. They are currently planning their next project, which is putting together tote bags designed by them. Thank you for providing our students with the opportunity to not only develop life skills such as using a sewing machine, but also allowing them to expand their creativity.”

  • Designers in the Classroom!

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

I cannot thank you enough for your donations. Our students were very excited to receive the iPad. We were able to use it to create designs and for class instruction. One of my students created a design for a personalized tumbler we raffled during a school event. She was very pleased with the results of her design and the number of tickets sold for her design; it was a huge success. We cannot wait for the rest of the students to start designing for different merchandise we can sell in our student store. In addition to creating designs, students have been able to use the iPad to participate in class instruction and model their work for other peers. This donation has been a great addition to our class in more ways than one. Thank you!”

  • Publishers in the Making

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

Thank you for our Epson Eco Tank ET-4760 All-in-One Supertank Printer. My students were extremely excited when we received it. As a class, they decided to use it for our classroom based business and print their beautiful designs with it. with your contribution, not only did you give our students the opportunity to showcase their creativity, you also gave them the opportunity to work on job skills. Students are using the printer to put their designs on mugs, puzzles, and shirts they sell in our school community. With your donation, students are able to work on employment skills such as planning, budgeting, creating, and producing products to sell. They are using technology to design and advertise their products.”

  • Press to Impress!

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

Your donations have been a blessing for our classroom. Our students love creating personalized mug with the Cricut mug press. We decided to start a classroom based business by selling personalized mugs. The excitement in their faces after a successful mug sale was priceless. Now they suggest making personalized mugs for staff members as gifts for appreciation days such as counselor's and administrative staff appreciation day.

They day our materials arrived, the students couldn't wait to open the boxes and test the materials. They immediately started planning the types of designs they wanted on the mugs. We immediately planned a mug sale and got to work. The mug sale was a great hit, it allowed students to work on job, communication, and money skills. My students are now ready to boost their creativity and start creating their own designs for the merchandise in our classroom based enterprise.”

This year our resource room is home to a specialized program for students with moderate to severe needs, including but not limited to children with autism and intellectual disability. In addition to barriers due to their disabilities, many of my students also encounter barriers resulting from language development and socioeconomic status. Approximately 90% of our students are Latino. I am very excited to start a specialized program for students with moderate to severe education needs. Although this is a very exiting experience, it is also a challenging one. Starting a new program means we have very limited resources. As a special education teacher, I need to ensure that I deliver excellent instruction in math, reading, writing, and life skills with the limited resources and materials available.
