  • Camera for Costa Rica

    Funded May 3, 2012

Thank you so much for helping us make our trip to Costa Rica a trip that all students can remember by donating this camera! The students will be able to use this camera to inspire future travelers to go travel outside of the United States. From zip lining to planting trees, our students will have the ability to share this trip with the rest of our community. This is the very first trip from our school and we hope to make this a long tradition. We as teachers believe that travel is an important part of education and this trip will help our students become world leaders. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Krause

  • Supplies for Costa Rica Trip

    Funded Apr 26, 2012

Thank you so much for donating the supplies necessary for our trip. We are taking our first ever trip to Costa Rica this summer and these supplies will help students be successful and safe while traveling outside the country. The students have never had the opportunity to travel before and this experience will help them become global leaders.

The six students going to Costa Rica are preparing their Spanish and travel skills for their departure. A lot of them have been asking, "What happens if we get sick?" With these supplies, we will be able to assure the parents and students that we are prepared for travel! Thank you again for your support! ”

  • Incentives to Help my Students Learn Spanish!

    Funded Mar 19, 2010

First of all, I wanted to say thank you for helping supply such useful tools for my classroom. I have noticed such a change in many of my classes due to the positive incentives and rewards that make learning Spanish fun! My students now come to class excited to learn and ready to work hard during class. I have seen students who never wanted to participate all of a sudden have an interest in learning Spanish!

You not only supplied me with incentives but really a motivator to help my students stay on track to achieve academic success. I appreciate your help and support in ensuring that I am giving my students the best possible education!”

  • Help My Students Hear The Different Cultures Of The World

    Funded Mar 20, 2010

First of all, I want to thank you for your continuous support in helping my students achieve academic success. Providing speakers may not seem like it would have much impact, but the speakers have completely revolutionized my lessons and classroom culture. My students are now able to hear native speakers from around the world, music, video clips, and much more. I am able to dive into Hispanic culture and let my students experience culture from around the world without ever leaving Missouri.

My students now have a greater understanding of the world in which we live. They are also able to practice their listening and speaking skills through hearing native speakers from different countries in Latin America and Spain. Thank you again for all of your help. You are the reason that my students are having great success in Spanish! ”

  • LCD Projector Needed to Help Bring Culture in the Classroom!

    Funded Mar 17, 2010

First of all, I want to thank you for your continuous support in helping my classroom and my students achieve academic success. Without your support, my students would no have all of the academic enrichment opportunities that a projector provides in my classroom.Over the past few weeks I have had the opportunity to introduce the projector into my classroom and it has made quite a difference.I am able to not only show different pictures from around the world, but introduce Spanish music, art and video clips that helps the students understand the language better.

My students love the interaction and all the new projects we are able to do with the projector. My students are now learning Spanish in a fun, interactive way. I thank you again for your support in helping my students succeed in Spanish class. You have impacted my classroom more than you realize!”

  • Dry Erase Markers Needed Urgently!

    Funded Oct 14, 2009

First of all, I want to thank you for your generous support in funding this project. You have empowered each and everyone one of my students that they can learn and succeed in foreign language study. Sometimes it is difficult to engage students in Spanish lessons, but these markers give the students a sense of possibility. Each and everyone of my students can see their progress when we do whiteboard activities, and this inspires them to want to learn more. You did not just donate markers, you gave my students tools for success. This donation meant so much for me personally as a new teacher. I am teaching in an inner city school where supplies are sometimes limited and teachers end up supplying the necessary materials. You have not only helped my students, but you have taken a weight off of my shoulders. Everyone that donated is such a big part of my classroom. I hope you enjoy the pictures and the thank you cards from my students. They worked hard to make all of you aware of how grateful they are to have these markers. Without all of your support, I know my students would not be succeeding at the level they are currently. Thank you again so much for supporting my cause and supporting the wonderful organization of Donorschoose. Your impact will be seen and heard through 200 of my wonderful, hardworking students who now are on their way to learning a second language. Sincerely, Ms. Krause”

    With gratitude,
