This technology will be used in many different ways within our classroom. Primarily, it will allow me to model and practice different reading and math strategies that my students are currently learning. However, it can be used for so much more! The camera will allow my students to clearly examine smaller artifacts and make observations about them from their seats. The document camera will allow me to display handouts, reading passages, maps, math manipulatives, and various texts. In doing so, it can help facilitate classroom discussion by having the information easily seen and accessible. This particular model will allow me to record and play back video, thus, allowing me or the students to prerecord procedures and assist with instructional delivery. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to share their work with their peers. Adding this incredible tool to our classroom will help create a better learning environment for my students to thrive in. It is my hope that through its proper application I can engage more students, stimulate creativity and foster academic achievement.
