Because we have to share the small amount of Chromebooks we have in our school, it is difficult to give our students the amount of time they need on computers. They need to experience writing projects that allows them to use keyboarding skills, and access to the internet. There are so many programs out there that I could use in my classroom, but cannot because I have a total of 2 computers for my students to use. I plan to have my students do research online, access writing websites and look at excellent examples of people that have utilized the six traits of writing on the new Chromebooks. These types of experiences are extremely valuable for special education students. I know that they can improve their writing skills much quicker with my guidance and the use of technology.
