I am a math intervention teacher at Rice Square School In Worcester, Massachusetts. I service students in grades two through six who could use a little extra help in math. We work in a small group setting (really small- my room is about the size of a large storage closet!). This setting allows my students a better opportunity to attend to the lesson, participate in discussions and take risks. This setting allows me to differentiate the instruction to my students, informally assess their work on a daily basis and build more personal relationships with them.
