My students are special because they want to learn. They are creative, always looking for student driven opportunities and collaborate well with others. Many of my Title I students come from a low socioeconomic background, and they rely on school for much more than an education. However, they do not let this define who they are and what they know. "We've got this, Mrs. L." is a quote I often hear. We have worked hard to build a culture of can-do. Not only do they believe they can do it, they believe they can help each other reach their goals as well. They support each other and hold each other to high expectations. The students continue to look for new ways to demonstrate what they know.
