Whiteboards are used almost a daily in my classroom, whether it be whole group, small group, or for individual choice. Using the workshop model in math, students come to the rug with whiteboards for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. We do utilize a guided math approach, where I meet with small groups in a rotation. These white boards and place value kits will allow me to meet the students' needs more easily. The games will give them something interesting and visual to work with when they are in groups without me, while still engaging in a purposeful learning task. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
