The leveled nonfiction book sets will increase interest in silent reading time and will provide each kid an opportunity to read at his/her reading level. In addition, the books will also contribute to our nonfiction novel unit and writing project. The writing project folders will help with executive functioning skills as well. We need a close reading kit, markers and language practice cards. These materials are FUN, and the kiddos deserve some exciting activities! They will enhance our classroom experience by allowing me time to conduct small group learning and partner activities. Getting to know the kids and their strengths is one of my favorite aspects of this career which means I really value the ability to conduct smaller group activities.
