Cooling Off in First Grade

Thank you so much for donating to our project! The heater/air conditioner has made our classroom so much more comfortable. At first, the students had questions about the big box in the corner of our classroom, but now they are just simply, grateful.

Just yesterday, my students were able to reap the benefits of your generosity. Even though Spring has just started, it was unbearably hot in our classroom yesterday. I was hesitant to begin using the a/c so early, but the students were just so lethargic.

For the first time, later in the afternoon, I decided to turn on the air conditioner feature of our heater/air conditioner unit and, wow! What a difference! Today, I turned on the unit first thing in the morning, and my little scholars are back! They are energetic, engaged, and overflowing with gratitude.

Because of your generosity, we look forward to doing even more movement activities in our classroom. "More yoga, please!" is music to my ears. Our social emotional learning will certainly be enhanced, because of you.
