Happy Teenagers!

The day the boxes arrived, the kids were curious, wide-eyed, and unsure about the cardboard bounty and its purpose in the classroom. Students opened the boxes during class and one-by-one shared "the goods" that they had received with the class. Lots of "oohs, and ahhh" were dramatically wooed through the class. They were amused, somewhat taken aback, and in awe as they had most likely had not experienced "gifts" of this nature for "them." They felt loved when I told them how these came to our classroom.

What I personally love is that my students have helped me decorate my bulletin boards and hang posters with excitement I have had more volunteers than I had things to do (a wonderful "problem" to have.). Also, I have been able to reward students and give students snacks and essentials. I even have students who are not mine, ask for bandaids, hygiene products, snacks because they know they are available/accessible.

Our future plans with our classroom is to continue to decorate with the wonderful decor received. Students have been and will continue to be rewarded (snacks/candy/prizes) for their educational pursuits through friendly competitions.

I wear my heart on my sleeve and if I could give you a sliver of my heart to share how thankful I am for your support - I would, but I know that my THANK YOU letter will suffice instead.”

With gratitude,

Mrs. G
