I teach Kindergarten at a great school where scholars are eager to learn new things and are willing to do what it takes to be ready for first grade. I use Donors Choose because I want to give my scholars all of the experiences and connections they need to make school a fun and exciting place to be. I want them to experience the happiness of making new friends, learning how to solve issues peacefully and grow socially. I want them to experience that moment when everything suddenly makes sense and they can read. I want to help foster a growth mindset at a young age so they continue to seek after learning. Despite what I want for my scholars, their life situations often impact them so they are not always ready for school. I seek to provide that stable, positive and consistent environment that makes learning and growing safe and desired.
