Flexible seating is an opportunity for students to find a suitable work space that suits their needs and learning styles. Each student has his or her own individual needs, so why have students all sitting in the same way? We will embark on this transformation of the classroom by having the students explore and experience different work spaces. Then students will reflect on each work space. After the students reflect they will determine what work spaces suit their needs best. Allowing for individualized work spaces will allow students to have control over their learning environment and to discover their learning niche.
