My students are using desks that are 30 years old! They are rusty, broken, and dirty. They deserve new desks! These desks will give them more confidence and pride in their academics! Taking pride in available resources will be a huge boost in my fourth grade classroom! I was a student at the school I currently teach in. I know these desks are the same desks that were here when I was a student, and they weren't new then! I feel that students will take pride and ownership when they are given something nice and new to learn in! Please help bring the pride back!
